Ron Hansen, Bass Guitar & vocals. Known as "Fooman” to those who see the band live due to his Fu Manchu mustache, Ron grew up north of Seattle and migrated south to the Seattle area. His interests- musical and otherwise- he eventually brought him to Portland. Ron has done lots of studio work and played with many bands in Portland and Seattle. Life on Mars has been around for over 20 years now and has proven to be lots of fun. It has enabled Ron to meet many great people and form long-lasting friendships- relationships that Ron values greatly.

Born in the Los Angele area, performed in many clubs in and around LA area as well in Canada, Germany, Spain and Azores lslands.....currently teaching guitar in Portland and performing exclusively with Life on Mars.

Since moving to Portland in 2004, Jeff has played with many different artists performing and recording with some of the NW's top singer-songwriters.  He has performed with several rock bands as well as jazz and funk combos from Denver to Honolulu.  Jeff's latest stint with Life on Mars is proving to be a fun, rewarding addition to this family of alien rockers.  Additionally performing with Portland outfits Last Call and the Lynn Frances Anderson Band when he can, Jeff also teaches beginning to advanced drums from his home in Tigard.  He brings great chops, attitude and musicianship to the table while always keeping it the pocket.
